Dental Wellness of Charlotte became the first in the country to install new technology called "The Safety Shield" to help fight COVID-19 and allow patients to safely go to the dentist. 

Dental Wellness of Charlotte is the ONLY dental office in NC and only the second dental office nationwide using Secured Safe-T-Shields. The Safe-T-Shield creates a broad negative pressure zone directly above the oral cavity, which results in a more effective evacuation of patient exhalation than single-point oral suction devices. The Shield is also an absolute barrier to droplet and bioburden ejection, allowing comfortable access to the treatment area. 

Dr. Shirman believes that a track-mounted Safe-T-Shield will become the dental standard of care in the future, and he's proud to be on the leading edge of the technology.
